Dustin Expo

Since 2015, we have helped Nordic IT-Supplier Dustin with their biggest yearly event, the exhibition called Dustin Expo. Held at Ericsson Globe Arena, the event pulls a crowd of some 10,000 visitors over the course of three days and is a much appreciated happening in the industry.  

Literally hours before starting construction of the 2020 edition of Dustin Expo, the Corona pandemic forced the cancellation of all public events worldwide and grinding Dustin Expo to a halt.

Together with the Dustin team, we immediately started exploring different solutions for converting the Expo to a digital version. Days later, the date was set and work begun on building an online experience unseen before in the Nordics.

We quickly fell in love with the Twebcast platform due to the combination of a powerful backend and the ability to really customize your projects. In close collaboration with the Twebcast development team, we pushed the limits of the platform to make Dustin Expo 2020 truly exceptional. The process included developing brand new features and functions that later were adopted across the whole Twebcast platform.

The result was a two-day online expo packed with exciting content. A main track was broadcasted from our own Strawberry Studio 1 with speakers including Dustin CEO Thomas Ekman, Thimon De Jong, Tobias Ahlin amongst others. Parallel to the main track, 14 digital breakout sessions were broadcasted from our Strawberry Studio 2 featuring industry leaders like HP, Dell and Lenovo.

The exhibition itself held 24 different exhibitors with custom microsites within Twebcast containing company presentations, video galleries and a custom-built banner system. The microsites also included moderated chats that allowed the exhibitors to communicate with the visitors through the platform.
